Chris Wood
Agency OwnerChris grew up in Peyton, met his wife Shannon in the fourth grade at Peyton School, and built the agency in the community they both come from. He started Pikes Peak Insurance Agency in 2005 with a single client. When he is not in the office, he is almost certainly coaching youth sports. He has coached club and school ball around Falcon for years, and he raised four kids in Falcon and had a hand in coaching each of them too.
Kim Adams-Johnson
Personal Lines Account ManagerKim has been a licensed Personal Lines agent since 1998 and has worked nearly every seat in the industry: producer, trainer, auditor, and underwriter. She holds an Associate in Claims designation, which means she has formal training in how claims actually get handled. She and her husband Joe foster dogs waiting for adoption, on top of the three dogs and five cats already at home.
Gretchen Pufpaff
Personal Lines Account ManagerGretchen has been licensed in Life and Health since 2013 and joined the agency in July 2020 after years as an independent consultant. She has lived in Colorado since 1982, grew up in Black Forest, and graduated from UCCS. Between camping, running, and cooking, her seven kids keep her thoroughly on her toes.
Melinda Murray
Personal Lines Account ManagerMelinda spent twenty years in the veterinary field before earning her Life and Health license in 2016, and found she genuinely loved the work. She grew up in Colorado Springs and has lived in the Falcon and Peyton community since 1998. Most of her free time is spent in a gym or on a field watching one of her five kids play.
Kilee Wood
Personal Lines Account ManagerKilee was born and raised in Falcon, CO, played basketball at Northeastern Junior College while earning her associates in business, and now coaches the Falcon Bombers girls' basketball club team she once played for. She loves to play pickleball, basketball and football (Go Broncos), and to spend time with her family and friends. Taking care of people and building relationships is something she values and takes pride in. She grew up watching this agency get built and hopes to help it grow even more!
Jaxon Wood
Personal Lines Insurance SpecialistJaxon is a licensed Property and Casualty insurance professional who grew up watching his dad build the business and hopes to one day carry on what he started. Outside of work, he coaches the Falcon Raptors 13U football team and pursues his passion for country music. Jaxon values building genuine relationships, serving his community, and helping people look after what matters most to them.
Austin Keckler
Personal Lines Insurance SpecialistA Colorado native, Austin grew up in the Colorado Springs and Falcon area and brings over a decade of insurance experience. He began his career in claims before moving into sales, giving him a well-rounded understanding of insurance and what happens when coverage is actually needed. Austin enjoys helping people make sense of their insurance and find coverage that fits their needs. Outside the office, he loves camping, fishing, hiking, and exploring Colorado with his dogs, Turbo and Reina.
Michelle Peguero
Senior Commercial Lines Account ManagerOriginally from New York and now proudly calling Texas home, Michelle brings more than 12 years of insurance experience to her role as Senior Account Manager. Over her career she has worked with businesses across a wide range of industries, helping each one find commercial coverage that fits the way it actually operates. She began in Fine Arts insurance and later gained experience in healthcare, but has always kept a diverse commercial book of business. She enjoys helping clients navigate the often-complex world of insurance, especially when they are focused on running and growing their businesses. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Texas with her dog, Chase, who is always ready for the next road trip, hike, or outdoor excursion.
Jesse Grimes
Commercial Lines Account ManagerJesse is a Commercial Lines Account Manager who enjoys helping business owners make sense of insurance without making it feel overwhelming. With experience in both insurance and claims, she brings a practical, people-first approach to taking care of her clients and genuinely enjoys building relationships along the way. Originally from Minnesota and calling Colorado home since 2020, Jesse spends her free time off-roading in her Jeep, tackling home projects, hanging out with her family and dogs, and almost always has an iced coffee nearby. She loves learning new things, staying busy, and bringing a little fun wherever she goes.
