Pikes Peak Insurance Agency ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent insurance agency based in Falcon, Colorado. This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It covers www.pikespeakins.com only. Insurance carriers and other companies we work with have their own privacy policies, and we say below where you leave our site for theirs.
Information You Give Us
You can use most of this website without telling us anything about yourself. You only give us information when you choose to send it, which happens in these places:
- Quote request form (home page). Your name, phone number, email address, and the type of coverage you are asking about.
- Callback request forms. Your name and phone number, and on the contact page an optional email address and the policy type your question is about.
- Calling, texting, or emailing us. Whatever you choose to tell us in that conversation.
We use this to answer your question, prepare a quote, or call you back. We do not use it for anything else without telling you first.
Consent to be contacted by phone
When you submit a callback request, you are asking us to call you and giving us permission to do so at the number you provided. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by telling any member of our team, and we will.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this one records some technical information as you browse. Specifically:
- Where you arrived from. When you first visit, the site stores a short record in your browser's local storage noting how you found us — for example a search engine, a social network, or a marketing campaign link — along with the first page you landed on and the date. If you later submit a form, that record is attached to your enquiry so we know which efforts actually reach people. It contains no name, contact details, or browsing history, and it stays in your browser until you clear your browsing data.
- Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages get read and where visitors come from. It sets cookies and collects an approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. Google processes this data on our behalf; see Google's Privacy Policy and Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Our own site analytics. We run a small first-party analytics script that records page views, how far down a page people scroll, and which buttons and links get used. It does not set cookies, does not follow you to other websites, and is not shared with advertisers.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request information, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies on this site come from Google Analytics and from the third-party tools described below. We do not use advertising or remarketing pixels. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though the embedded quote tool may not.
Do Not Track and universal opt-out signals. We honor recognised universal opt-out mechanisms, such as Global Privacy Control, where your browser sends one.
Third-Party Tools on This Site
Some parts of this website are provided by other companies. When you use them, you are interacting with that company as well as with us, and their privacy policy applies to what they collect.
- EZLynx / AgentInsure quote tool. The quote form on our Request a Quote page is embedded from AgentInsure, the licensed quoting platform this agency runs on. What you type into it goes to EZLynx and to us, and from there to the insurance carriers we shop on your behalf. See the EZLynx privacy policy.
- EZLynx Client Center. Signing in to your account takes you to an EZLynx-hosted site in a new tab. Your account, password, and policy documents are held there, not here.
- Google Maps. Our contact page embeds a Google map. Loading it involves Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Netlify. Our host. Form submissions pass through and are stored by Netlify before reaching us.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share what you give us only in these circumstances:
- With insurance carriers and underwriters, in order to get you quotes, place coverage, or service a policy. This is the core of what an independent agency does, and it is why you contacted us.
- With service providers who operate this site and our agency systems on our behalf, such as our host, our quoting platform, and our email provider.
- With Inszone Insurance Services, our parent company, where needed to service your account.
- Where the law requires it, including responding to lawful requests from regulators or courts.
Insurance Information and Federal Privacy Rules
As an insurance agency we are also subject to federal financial privacy rules, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which govern how we handle nonpublic personal information collected in connection with insurance products. Those protections apply to information you give us as a client, whether you gave it to us through this website, over the phone, or in person.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry and policy information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and for as long as insurance record-keeping and regulatory obligations require. When it is no longer needed, we dispose of it securely.
Your Privacy Rights
Colorado residents have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, and you may exercise them regardless of where you live by contacting us. You can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and get a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete information we hold about you;
- provide your information in a portable format;
- opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling — none of which we currently do.
To make a request, call (719) 591-4500 or email admin@pikespeakins.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act, particularly where policy information is involved. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will review it again and explain the outcome.
Note that some information cannot be deleted on request, because insurance and financial regulations require us to retain records for a set period.
Children
This website is intended for adults seeking insurance. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive details such as Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or payment information through a website form or by email. Call us instead.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how this site handles information, we will update this page and the date shown at the top of it.
