It Started With One Client
Chris and Shannon Wood met in the fourth grade at Peyton School and graduated together. They married in 1999 and built their first house right behind the Safeway, back when there were photos of the bare foundation with the store in the background.
Chris opened Pikes Peak Insurance Agency in 2005 with a single client. Twenty years later that number is past 2,000, and in August 2020 the office moved into the State Bank Building on McLaughlin Road, a few minutes from the neighborhood the family still lives in.
Two of the Wood children now work here. Kilee is usually the first face you see when you walk in, and Jaxon joined most recently. When Chris is not in the office he is generally on a basketball court, coaching the Falcon girls varsity team.
